Career focus: AI infrastructure, platform, SRE, and forward deployed engineering roles.
Infrastructure engineer with an 18-year journey from building a fiber and wireless ISP to platform and reliability work at Magic Leap, Chewy, and Mozilla. I connect network engineering, cloud operations, and software delivery to the systems behind AI: GPU serving, agent integrations, retrieval, and evidence-based evaluation.

AI & Infrastructure Platform
Self-directed platform work developed alongside my Full Sail capstone, on hardware I own and operate.
- Operate a 10-node bare-metal Proxmox environment with NVIDIA GPU compute, Kubernetes, self-hosted GitLab, Vault, and Grafana LGTM observability.
- Build agent infrastructure around self-hosted vLLM, model routing, a PostgreSQL-backed worker queue, tenant-scoped vector memory, and reviewable GitLab delivery.
- Develop MCP integrations for cloud, virtualization, storage, and multi-vendor networking, with operational controls and artifact provenance.
- Build LoRA evaluation workflows with held-out scenarios and explicit promotion gates. Training completion and saved weights remain distinct from model qualification.
- Connect these foundations to NetSpinUp network automation, CloudSpinUp hybrid-cloud provisioning, and VoiceRAG voice AI.

Music Reports
Sep 2023 - Present
- Cut AWS spend by over $400K across three cost-optimization initiatives: reclaimed idle EC2 capacity, unattached EBS volumes and orphaned snapshots, and scheduled non-production fleets to sleep outside business hours and on weekends.
- Delivered hybrid connectivity in Terraform: a 36-tunnel mesh from AWS Transit Gateway to pfSense edges with BGP and ECMP, activating dual-carrier diversity the business had paid for but never routed over, and closing single points of failure that had persisted for 30 years.
- Introduced infrastructure as code to the organization and drove DevOps adoption across it — Terraform as the delivery standard, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes — for distributed front-end and back-end teams across several time zones.
- Migrated 129 PagerDuty services during post-acquisition integration with no interruption to on-call coverage.
- Tagged and inventoried 9,000+ AWS assets, establishing the source-of-truth data behind compliance reporting and cost attribution.
Platform Engineer
Corellium
Oct 2022 - Feb 2023
- Recovered a broken HP Moonshot multi-node bare-metal cluster in the first week, consoling in over serial around a failed iLO management port.
- Introduced Kubernetes to the organization with a full observability stack; led migration from Jenkins to GitLab CI/CD and virtualized the datacenter.
Site Reliability Engineer III
(promoted from SRE II)
Chewy, Customer Service Vertical
Jan 2021 - Sep 2022
- Built the blue/green pipeline in Jenkins with Datadog telemetry as the promotion signal and automated rollback on regression, covering critical veterinary services, shared backend and Oracle integrations.
- Delivered Terraform automation for 19 production applications and migrated the final on-premises monolith to AWS.
Senior Network Engineer
For Eyes, Hialeah, FL
Aug 2020 - Dec 2020
- Migrated two datacenters to private cloud in three months, reverse-engineering and documenting undocumented legacy environments before cutover.
- Replaced legacy Cisco routing and switching with Meraki SD-WAN across 143 locations and 2 datacenters; deployed backup infrastructure across datacenters, headquarters and manufacturing.
Site Reliability Engineer Lead, Observability & Automation
(promoted twice)
Magic Leap, Plantation, FL and Guadalajara, MX
Nov 2017 - Apr 2020
- Stood up observability for the company on Datadog and Sumo Logic, building global infrastructure telemetry as code and scaling to 40,000+ service checks on a three-minute interval across worldwide on-premises operations; inventoried 50,000+ AWS objects for cost, compliance and operational visibility.
- On-site lead in Guadalajara for a $28M network rollout across manufacturing and Toronto R&D on Juniper, Palo Alto and Aruba, including a dual-homed 263-node network.
Founder & Network Engineer
AirNetworks, San Juan, PR
Feb 2008 - Sep 2017
- Designed, built and operated a multi-municipal ISP from nothing — 65 points of presence, 35 towers, 3 datacenters and a fleet of 500+ routers, switches and access points across fiber and multi-frequency point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless — serving thousands of enterprise, small business and residential subscribers.
- Ran dual-homed BGP carrying full internet tables, MPLS transport, VLAN segmentation and VPN services across thousands of customer networks; built carrier infrastructure at the NAP of the Americas for hosting, mail, DNS, RADIUS and compute, on a -48 VDC plant of my own design.
Education
B.S. in Computer Science
Full Sail University · Winter Park, Florida
Mar 2023 - Nov 2025 · Graduated
Brought a career in networking, infrastructure, and reliability into formal computer science study and hands-on AI platform development.
